Even underwater nature is changing with the impact of global warming. But the splendor of the island of Phi Phi is still dominate many people do not change. Most of the accommodation on the island is bungalows and guest houses. Especially Ton Sai Bay and Loo Bay. The center of tourists. Because it is near the pier and facilities. Have a great time Full of light from the club and bar at night.

ATTRACTION DETAILS
Home to the world’s famous Maya Bay, a heavenly beach featured in The Beach movie, Phi Phi Le Island is entirely embraced by limestone mountains karsts, which help conserve its natural beauty. Its other two peaceful beaches that are close enough to talk a walk are Lo Sama Bay, a small shallow-water-corals-gilded bay, and a giant, mountain-encircled Pi Le Bay. The latter beach provides a great snorkeling site along the limestone cliff called “Pi Le Wall” where visitors can indulge in an extraordinary underwater experience, discovering giant sea fans and coastal creatures.
Though being a world-class holiday spot all year round, it is best to drop by the island during November-April so that you can enjoy most visitors’ all-time favorite activities like scuba diving and snorkeling.

Railay Beach

Railay Beach is calming and private.

If you like a peaceful beach and little ones. It must be Railay Beach. The beach is closed to the boat only. Even though it is only 15 minutes from Ao Nang, it is like leaving another world. With clear white sand and clear water surrounded by limestone cliffs. Ideal for nature lovers. And fun adventure activities including trekking, canoeing, rock climbing, biking. There are not many resorts, so the room rates are higher than other beaches. But it is worth it when it comes to experience and impression to get back.

ATTRACTION DETAILS
One of the biggest misunderstanding of this world-class beach destination is that it is an island---which it is not. The area of Railay is actually a large peninsula jutting out into the Andaman, but what makes this place truly place special is that it’s cut off from the rest of the mainland by a row of steep hills, which means you can only get there by boat. Railay has risen from peaceful fishing village to a world-class tourist destination, thanks to its imposing limestone cliffs that shoot out of the crystal blue waters to tower over the white sandy beaches.
Railay actually covers three beaches, each with its own distinctive character. Railay West is the longest, featuring white sand and shallow water. Though Railay West is ideal for sunbathing, do be warned that the southern-end is pretty rocky. Being also the most popular, you’ll find a collection of resorts, restaurants and beach bars serving visitors. Further north is Ton Sai Bay, a good spot for rock climbing and affordable rooms. Railay West, and Ton Sai, are at there most beautiful at sunset, when those steep cliffs are silhouetted against the sky. Opposite Railay West is Railay East, which is actually really just part of a bigger mangrove swamp. Though it’s not great for swimming, it’s the best place to catch a beautiful sunrise. Sitting between Railay West and East is Phranang Beach, named after the cave containing a sacred Buddha image that can be found on this beach. A lot smaller than RailayWest and East, Phranang is the best beach for swimming, with clean, white powdery sand and crystal clear, shallow water.
The towering limestone karsts that dominate the landscape mean Railay is also a haven for rock climbers, and the area offers more than 700 different climbing trails with an annual Krabi Rock and Fire International Contest hosted annually. http://www.tourismthailand.org/See-and-Do/Sights-and-Attractions-Detail/Hat-Rai-Le-Rai-Le-Beach--5420

Krabi Province, which lies along the coast of the Andaman sea in Southern Thailand, is a top tourist destination as a result of its plentiful natural attractions including, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, extensive coral reefs, numerous caves and waterfalls, and over 130 islands, including Koh Lanta and the jewels of the Andaman coast, the six islands of Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park.

While not the top destination in and of itself, Krabi Town is a charming provincial capital located along the banks of a river that leads to the nearby Andaman Sea. Consequently, Krabi is an important port city for both local fisherman as well as boats ferrying visitors to the nearby attractions, including Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, and Railey Beach, one of the premier rock climbing destinations in the world.

Krabi, a province on southern Thailand’s Andaman coast, is an almost otherworldly region of labyrinthine archipelagos, where islands seem to erupt vertically out of the sea and secluded beaches are only accessible by colorfully adorned long tail boats. Krabi’s myriad of bays and coves have sheltered pirates, merchants, and sea gypsies for thousands of years and archaeological evidence indicates that Krabi was originally inhabited as early as 25,000 - 35,000 years ago!

With attractions including hot springs, a wildlife sanctuary, sea caves, flourishing coral reefs and exotic marine life, limestone cliffs that draw rock climbing enthusiasts from around the world, and national parks that include the island paradises of Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta, one could easily spend weeks in Krabi and leave yearning for more.

If that wasn’t enough, Krabi features some of the most photogenic sunsets in Thailand, often accompanied by spectacular displays of cloud to cloud lightning, that are best enjoyed from a beachside bar or restaurant.

Meanwhile, with all the tourists spread out among various beaches and islands, life goes on in Krabi Town, the somewhat sleepy provincial capital. Surprisingly few tourists spend time in the charming riverside town, whose hilly streets feature a number of cozy cafes and inexpensive and authentic Thai cuisine is served at an outdoor, riverside evening market.

“Town” to most visitors is Ao Nang, a seaside strip of guesthouses, hotels, bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops that continues to grow as tourist arrivals increase, now spreading north into Noppharat Thara, whose quiet, shady beach is part of the national park that includes the Phi Phi Islands. Ao Nang is the major launching point for boat trips to nearby islands and the isolated beaches of Phra Nang Cape, where the famous former hippie enclave of Railey Beach is located.

Key Tips
  • Visitors are advised to make early reservations (up to a year in advance) for accommodation during the peak season from late December to early January because of the popularity of the Krabi and its attractions.

  • When traveling by ferry to islands around Krabi, it may be preferable to purchase only a one way ticket so that your trip can be more easily altered and you can more easily arrange your departure.

  • HOW TO GO

    By Bus

There are both government run air-conditioned and non air-conditioned busses that connect Bangkok, Phuket, Phang Nga, Trang, Hat Yai, and Surat Thani (Samui) to Krabi Bus Terminal. The bus from Bangkok’s Southern Bus Terminal to Krabi takes approximately 12 hours.

In addition to these busses, many private bus companies and travel agencies provide air-conditioned busses or vans to and from Krabi and these other provinces.

Bus-boat packages between Krabi and Koh Samui should take no more than three hours, though some unscrupulous private bus companies have made this a lengthy ordeal in order to rip off passengers and their stored baggage. There is a more reliable government run bus service between Krabi and Surat Thani which requires bus or tuk tuk transfer to or from the pier that services Koh Samui.

There is a regular shuttle bus service between Krabi and Phuket airports, which are roughly 2 hours apart.
